Happy Weekend {and links!}

H is for Happy Weekend! It's also one big stuffed letter that Yvonne from The Yvestown Blog makes and sells in her little web shop, I placed it here on my dresser so you can see it for yourself. Scraps started to arrive today in response to Can You Inspire Someone, yay! Jen Renninger and Kayte Terry sent some beautiful things. I can't wait to see what will arrive next week. It's so fun to look through the packages. I'd like to give Kayte a little plug while I have your attention, her new book about embellishing releases next month (pre-order here).

The decor8 Mood Board contest sponsored by Amy Butler Design is in full swing, please enter by midnight on June 23rd.

An interesting blog post I read, especially the comments, on the topic of creative
minds think alike and how you can often have an idea and then when you see someone else launch it, it's natural to assume your idea was stolen. Is this always the case?

Inspired by... The art of Amy Sole.

I heart this Shabby Chic dining area... Especially the seat cushions,
cement floor, green bookcase, and that gorgeous painting.

Shabby Chic just launched their online store, including furniture. Rachel has her favorite things posted too.

... And an update on the decor8 redesign. Stay tuned for a blog that will look and feel a lot different as soon as next month. This has been an ongoing labor of love, it took months to figure out how I wanted it to look, then budget for the work, locate someone patient enough to work with me (ha ha) and now after reviewing the final concepts today, I am over the moon happy with it. Look for the new decor8 mid July!

Have a great weekend!
