Brooklyn Designs 2007: Round-up!

Brooklyn Designs 2007 kicks off tomorrow, so in support of all the amazingly talented design collectives participating, this shout out is for you. Here's a mini roundup of some of my favorite exhibitors (see them all here), I'm sure you'll love them too. Known as the coming out party for the hottest furnishings designers, don't miss this exciting event. Best part, it's not trade only, it's open to all.

The Puzzle Conference Table from 4-Pli, this funky sofa
from a+g, and amy helfand rugs.

Andrea Claire lighting, the Hovering coffee table from City Joinery,
anything at all made by Brave Space (wow), and the Bentboard table
designed Daniel Moyer Design.

The Marsh table and Symbol coat rack from DESU, the Title Danish chair
from elucidesign, or this gorgeous Bandwidth table by Eric Manigian.

An Eames-inspired Orville maple table (love this!) by McCullah Designs,
and Maureen Nollette's fine art prints.

Of course, I have to mention Paul Loebach, whom I have a huge design crush on right now because, well look at his work, doesn't that alone explain my adoration? The man is pure genius and in my eyes, has the potential to become huge. Then there's Pryor & Williams, I like their Daily Bread board. I wish I had more images to share with you, but I am dying to see more images from Re-Surface. Their lighting is quite intriguing. Robert Martin is another talent, all of his tables interest me.

And last but certainly not least, Uhuru, Wud, and Zia Priven. God. More talents to watch. Can I just hire all three to come into my home and fill it with their amazing work? I would love to use the stoolen by Uhuru as a coffee table. By the way, these aren't the latest from Zia Priven, in fact, their new lighting is all about exotic woods and will debut tomorrow at the show. I can't wait to check them out, I'm hoping they'll send me some photos so I can share it will all of you.

If you would like to attend Brooklyn Designs, it's open to the public (vs. trade-only as so many design fairs are) and only $12* for admission and may be purchased at the show. Show hours are Friday, May 11th froom 10-8 pm; Saturday, May 12th from 10-7 pm; and Sunday, May 13 from 10-6 pm. Click here for additional information about shuttles, parking, directions, etc.
