Alissa Coe and Carly Waito met in school and upon graduating in '04 fro the Ontario College of Art and Design, they formed coe&waito to create porcelain objects from their Toronto studio. I really like seeing two creative souls bond and form a business together, it's inspiring to me as I've always wanted to partner with someone and form a small business since I tend to enjoy working with someone else more than I do alone. I've spotted coe&waito around the web before but until now, never noticed that they had an owl lamp. So sweet.
I think all of their things are fresh and very current but absolutely stunning. I'm an extremely tactile person, I have to touch everything when I'm shopping and these objects make me want to just reach into the screen and hold them. They're elegance is hard to deny.
